President Buhari’s Anti-Corruption Drive Receives A Boost

Buhari-2015-BN-2-600x399-2B-282-29Senior Executive programme on Anti-Corruption Management Information System course for education administrators kicks-off at Babcock University, July 28, while the Federal anti-corruption agencies will provide technical support.

Professor Hubert Rampersad, chairman, Authentic Governance Institute, Florida, USA already in Nigeria to speak on authentic governance. He is a Harvard Business School endorsed best-selling author, former MIT Sloan guest professor and has been featured in Fortune Magazine and Business Week.

Authentic Governance is a new innovative and sustainable good governance system based on his new best-selling book published globally from the USA. The forward of the Arabic edition was written by the Governor of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The Five Day Senior Executive Certificate Course on Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Management Information System for Principal Officers of Education Ministries, Agencies and Institutions kicks off at Babcock University on Tuesday, 28 July, 2015.

The course provides education administrators with comprehensive body of knowledge to understand the complex information matrix occasioned by multiplicity of international, regional and national anti-corruption laws and agencies.

The course gives a boost to President Buhari’s anti-corruption initiative in the education sector by raising a critical mass of administrators to facilitate the successful implementation of Mr. President’s policy of zero tolerance for corruption in the education sector.

Federal Anti-Corruption Agencies including Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Bureau for Public Procurement are providing technical support for the programme.

Professor Hubert Rampersad, Chairman, Authentic Governance Institute, Florida, USA is already in the country to deliver a special presentation on Authentic Governance and New Good Governance Blueprint for Education in Season of Change and New Social Contracts.

The course is being attended by principal officers of education Ministries, Agencies and Institutions including Vice Chancellors, Provosts, Rectors and their deputies, Registrars, Bursars, Deans, HoD’s. It will end on Friday, 31st July, 2015.

The capacity building programme is a component of Anti-Corruption Information Codification, Domestication and Enlightenment Project being facilitated by Babcock Centre for Executive Development and Ethics Resource Centre Nigeria.
