The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has inaugurated the Technical Board of the Plateau Investment and Property Development Company in line with the recommendation of the Transition Committee Report submitted to Government.

The Governor represented by the Secretary to Plateau State Government, Hon. Rufus Bature, lamented that PIPC has suffered neglect for the past decade hence the need to refocus and reposition the company to ensure that it achieve the objectives of its establishment.
Governor Lalong stressed that the APC Government in the State is determined to create the enabling environment for business to strive in the state and disclosed that PIPC would be granted full autonomy to make it a profit oriented company answerable to government.
He added that with the autonomy the company will raise its money, pay her staff, maintains her assets and properties without resorting to government.
The Governor also charged the 5 Man Technical Board under the Chairmanship of Nde Ezekiel Gomos to undertake a critical assessment of the company and her subsidiaries, appraise the current value and quality of the company’s investments, resources, holding assets and financial position.
Also their terms of reference include undertaking an analysis of the existing human capital base of the company, to undertake a holistic restructuring of the organization with a view to revamping its operation.
The Gomos led Technical Board has been given 3 months to undertake and complete the assignments and therein submit her report to Government.
The Chairman of the Technical Board, Nde Gomos while responding on behalf of other members thanked the Governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the state and promised to put in their best in other to achieve the task placed upon them.
