The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), in Plateau has welcome a new sector commander, Mr Oti Crawford for Plateau State.
This was contained in statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer in the state, Andrew Bala, and was made available to the newsmen on Friday, in Jos.
The statement stated that the redeployment of Crawford to the state was an offshoot of the recent redeployment of the all senior officers of the corps by its Corps Marshal and Chief Executive, Boboye Oyeyemi.
According to the statement, Crawford has assured of his readiness to collaborate with stakeholders, relevant agencies and motoring public to trash down crashes within his area of jurisdiction.
”I want to assure local governments and states that are within this zone, that with your cooperation we will reduce to the barest minimum the level of crashes on our highways,” it stated.
He enjoined motorists and indeed the general public to appreciate the fact that safety should be everyone’s business.
The statement said that the new sector commander has since resumed duties.
