Plateau Chief Magistrate Court Adjourns To 17th Oct Case Of  Disputed Land Space

A Chief Magistrate Court situated at No 13, Jos Metropolitan Development Board, JMDB, in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has adjourned to the 17th October 2020 for hearing on a suit No CMC/M66/CR19 /2020.

 

 

The ( Sole Admin), Justice Roseline Adar after the arraignment of the 3rd defendant, Auwal Shehu on Tuesday, Barr Osho .O S who explained to the court that the matter was slated for continuation of hearing and they’re ready to proceed.

 

He said the defense counsel approaches him on the issue asking for out of court settlement and they promise to see into it without objections for benefit of the doubt , we are asking for a very short adjournment.

 

The counsels to the nominal complainant, Barr C.B.Dalan and C.J. Nnaji said the case was reported at the” A” Division police station Jos on the 9th of February 2020 by their client Mrs. Esther Johnson (complainant) .

 

Dalan stated that on the same date at about 13 hours, Mr. Asibe John suspects conspired with the following persons Mr. Gofung Zumji Ayuba and  Auwal Shehu to trespass into her shop (selling space ) at Rwang Pam Street Jos and damaged her properties therein.

 

According to him, the three accused persons Mr. Auwal Shehu also threatened to kill his client Mrs. Esther Johnson complainant that if she continued to sell on that space as space has been allocated to him by Asibe John the first defendant.

 

The suspects were earlier arraigned on alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass, mischief, cheating and criminal intimidation on Mrs. Esther Johnson.
