Plateau Central  PDP Senatorial Candidate, Gotom Set To File Case At Tribunal

Plateau Central Senatorial Candidate of the People Democratic Party ,PDP ,Amb. Golkuna .Yohanna. Gotom has concluded a plan to petition to pray that the tribunal to sack his opponent Hon .Dicket Plang and declare him the winner of the poll.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau Central Senatorial candidate, G.Y.Gotom is set to approach the National Assembly tribunal to lodge a petition against Hon .Dicket Plang of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Diket Plang was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the just concluded National Assembly elections which was rescheduled to hold on Saturday 15th Day of April 2023 but INEC reversed its decision to review the exercise conducted on the 25th Day of March 2023.

Gotom says , INEC returning officer for Plateau Central Senatorial district had said the APC candidate won with majority  votes IREV machines posted  to beat the PDP flag bearer

The PDP candidate for Plateau Central senatorial district was at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday to serve them with a letter of protest demonstrating his dissatisfaction with the outcome of the exercise most especially the emergency meeting in Abuja.

Gotom accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of playing double sworn in participating in electoral fraud by delaying the collection beyond the 7 days guideline of section 184 (1,2) after concluding a failed process

He stated reasons for approaching the election Tribunal over massive malpractices in Kanam LGA and some polling units within the zone.

Basically, the main organs of his petition are grown of voting in polling units, massive mutilation of results, and failure by the Commissioner for re-collation of canceled Gagdi ward results which led to the banana declaration by INEC returning officer who is a card-carrying member of APC, Dr. Jimmam Lar of the University of Jos.
