Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Warn Teachers Going To School Without Approval

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Nasarawa state, Muhammed Bala has warned teachers in the State to ensure that they were given the approval to go to school for further studies before doing so or risk their job

 

Bala in an exclusive interview with selected Journalists explained that the majority of teachers abandoned their duty post to go to school without any directive from those that employed them.

 

He maintained that any teacher caught in such an act would be given an option to either forfeit his studies or his job.

 

“How can somebody that joined service in just one month proceed to school without approval if not in Nasarawa state”.

 

Muhammed Bala says the Government would not fold its hands, seeing teachers reporting to school by 10:00 am, describing the habit as dereliction of duty.

 

“This morning I have to drive to two schools before coming to the office, The situation is quite unfortunate and worrisome”.

 

The Permanent Secretary also revealed that some principals are collecting PTA levy above the approved amount by the Government.

 

He stated that any teachers or principals found wanting would be shown the way out and would be handed over to security agencies for sabotaging the superlative effort of the State Government.

 

Bala averred that frantic effort had been put in place by the State Government to addressing dilapidated schools by embarking on the renovation as well fencing to tackle insecurity.

 

“That is exactly what the State Government is doing in  Government College Lafia, fencing is almost at the completion stage, so also applicable to other Public schools in Nasarawa state”
