Obi LGA Education Secretary Insist On Record Keeping In Public Schools

The Education Secretary of Obi Local Government Council of Nasarawa state, Ibrahim Egye has issued a stiff warning to the headmaster’s in the Local Government Education Authority to ensure proper records of activities of their various schools.

 

Egye disclosed this during a broad meeting held at the Central Primary School, Obi while distributing COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment ranging from facemasks, hand sanitizers, hand wash basin, and detergents to headmasters recently.

 

The Education Secretary during the meeting insisting that proper record-keeping became imperative especially data of pupils, classrooms, furniture in various schools.

 

He also warned on ineptitude exhibited by both headmaster’s and teachers, speaking shortly after the meeting, Ekye in an interview said the state government is poised to enhance the quality of education in the state

 

He said in no distance time the state government would organize workshops for headmasters with the sole aim of broadening their horizon.

 

With the rot in public primary school like Sudan United Mission, He buttressed that he has taken stock of Sudan Mission School, Olosoho.

 

“Just recently I paid an inspection visit to the school which I discovered insufficient seats and teachers”.
