The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) has released the list of 1,000 successful candidates who participated in the recruitment exercise conducted on May 1st and 2nd, 2026.
Announcing the development on Wednesday, the Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Kassim Muh’d Kassim , expressed appreciation to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for approving the recruitment of 1,000 teachers for rural primary schools across the state.
Dr. Kassim congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to publicly attest on various social media platforms that they secured the jobs on merit, without influence or payment to anyone.
He also cautioned social media users against making unverified and unguarded comments on Facebook, advising them to always cross-check facts before going public.
The Chairman disclosed that successful candidates will begin receiving text messages from Wednesday evening, on a local government by local government basis, while appointment letters will be ready on or before Thursday, September 17, 2026, by 2 p.m.
He added that he will be available across social media platforms to address concerns raised by citizens regarding the recruitment exercise, particularly the difficulty many applicants encountered with the question, “Write about yourself.”
Dr. Kassim further assured that an additional 500 primary school teachers will be recruited in December or early January, following the redeployment of teachers within the Board and across Local Government Areas, which will create more vacancies in various primary schools.
