The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command Dr. Solomon Adebayo Olasupo has urged Muslims Ummah across the world to promote peaceful coexistence which is the hallmark of the teaching of the Holy Quran in Islamic calendar .
He gave the message on behalf of the Commandant General, of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mallam Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu.
Olasupo said, he wishes all Muslims faithful a rewarding and peaceful Eid- el Fitr Celebration.
The Commandant General of the Corps, Mallam Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, through his Commandant of Plateau State Command, hereby advise all citizens to be law abiding and avoid any act of breaking law and order as perpetrators will be brought to book.
He assures the general public that Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command, and other security agencies have put in place all necessary measures to ensure a peaceful celebration.
The corps has deployed 2,100 officers and men for the Sallah celebration.
The general public is by this press statement called upon to adhere strictly to the suspension of the operation of tricycles (Keke Napep) and report all suspected movement by individuals or groups to cause confusion to the appropriate quarters.
However, at this challenging period of the Outbreak of Corona virus which has eaten deep into the Socio-economic wellbeing of the whole world.
We admonish you to continue to abide by the measures put in place by the Government to control the spread of the Pandemic Corona virus (COVID-19) by keep safe as you adhere to the advise of keeping social distancing, adequate covering and proper hygiene.
We will soon be out of it by God’s grace.
