Five persons and many injuries were recorded when a petrol tanker laden with fuel lost control and rammed into commercial tricycles popularly known as Keke-Napep in Jos, the Plateau State capital, the accident which happened on Saturday at about noon killing people damaged at least 10 Keke-Napep loaded with passengers.
The Tanker driver lost control of the steering and rammed on many cars including Keke-Napeps as the corpses of those who died have been deposited in Jankwano Hospital.
An eye witness disclosed that she was standing by the roadside when a tanker loaded with fuel rammed into vehicles where five persons died instantly.
However, some other persons’ legs and hands were chopped off as they were rushed to Jankwano for a prompt response.
