NIMASA Donates SMEs Empowerment Machinery To  IDPs In Jigawa

The Nigerian Maritime and Safety Administration Agency (NIMASA) has donated small and medium enterprises empowerment machinery to internally displaced persons in Jigawa State.

 

At the official presentation of the items held at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, the representative of NIMASA, Adamu Dankura Adamu expressed the Agency’s sympathy to the displaced persons.

 

He said they were in Jigawa State to commiserate with the people of the State and to let them know that NIMASA is with the people of Jigawa State at this trying period of life.

 

Dankura explained that his Agency, as a socially responsible organisation, and following the directive of the Federal Government to all her Agencies and Parastatals to raise a hand to all displaced persons in the country, is by the gesture, complying to ensure some form of comfort get to the affected people.

 

“This is our Corporate social responsibility. We are doing this in so many  States. Nigerian organisations are caring but nobody beats NIMASA and we are spurred to do more,” Dankura assured.

 

Responding on behalf of the State Government, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir, thanked the NIMASA delegation for the donation. He described the maritime agency as “a wonderful partner.”

 

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of Administration and Finance, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, the SSG thanked NIMASA for not forgetting the displaced persons at this period.

 

Items donated relief include sewing machines, grinding machines, generators, hair clippers, complete barbing accessories, tricycles, motorcycles among others.
