The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in Nasarawa state, Labaran Maku  has described the outcome of the April 11 governorship election in favor of the ruling All Progressives Congress as a total flaw,pre-arranged fraud  mar by wantom killings across the breadth and length of the state.
The defeated governorship hopeful under the aegis of APGA stated at his abode at Nasarawa Eggon while protesting the outcome of the governorship result, saying the people of Nasarawa state has spoken but the ruling APC ,security operatives and the Independent National Electoral Commission short-change the verdict of the people.
The embattled Labaran Maku attributed late arrival of electoral material, shortage of electoral material, inactions of INEC ad-hoc staff, seizing of electoral materials pouring of gas on electoral material, gangsterism amongst other factors as a pre-arranged irregularities by governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and Inec staff.
Maku described Karu,Lafia,Obi,Awe ,Keana as areas where rigging are order of the day, Adding that the result of the election was rigged in favor of APC which he said would not defeat him because of his pedigree and popularity in the polity of Nasarawa state.
He affirmed that the victory of the incumbent governor was not celebrated due to the high rate of manipulations exhibited by the governor and his cohorts, “It was a stolen mandate from us if not why was it that people were not celebrating the outcome of the election? “.
“Gangsterism was at its height as electorates were prevented from exercising their civic right,The election was  mar by killings across the state, Is no longer news that 2 persons were killed at a polling unit at Kwandare, while others were prevented from voting APGA,Also in Lafia APGA supporter was shot to death by security operatives, Our supporters was protecting the vote of his polling unit,He added.
He further said army invaded a community in Toto, Wulko, Arikya, Karu Adogi to prevent APGA supporters from voting, He maintained that his party would follow the matter in a legitimate way to retrieve their stolen mandate from the APC.
He dissociate APGA supporters from the recent political crisis that lead to the death of two persons in Lafia, He ascribed that APGA is a political party of discipline people with the interest of the state at heart,I disagreed with the rumor making that my supporters were behind the death of two persons at Bukan Sidi an outskirt of Lafia.
‘’I don’t subscribed to violence, It could be recalled during our electioneering campaign  our convey was attacked in Akwanga,Karu,Keana,Kwandare but I asked my supporters to remain calm up to this moment no body was apprehended in respect to that violent attack on my person”.
The erstwhile minister of Information unveiled the unpleasant attacked meted on the state chairman of the party, John Amako by suspected APC thugs while he was about voting, When asked whether he would congratulate his opponent who was return elected by the electoral umpire, The ex-minister buttressed that he would not congratulate the current governor because he did not won the election.
When asked whether he would challenge the outcome of the election in a court of competent jurisdiction, He said the party is still gathering fact,” we will get back to the press if we are ready”. Labaran Maku APGA would restart the engine of development  by ensuring that peace returned to the crisis prone state.
