Nasarawa Deputy Gov Support 330 Women, Men With Fertilizers, N10,000 Cash Each

Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr.Emmanuel Akabe has reiterated his determination towards cushioning poverty in the State by distributing 10,000 cash to two hundred vulnerable women and one hundred men respectively.

Dr.Akabe gave the hint during the distribution of N1, 300,000 Naira to One hundred and thirty womenfolk in Lafia.

He said as a responsible representative of the State he determined to empower women especially those into petty businesses like Kunu, Kosai, madidi, Ganda.

The Deputy Governor, however, maintained that the N10, 000 capital would to no small measure boost their businesses.

He disclosed that he would extend his gesture to Awe, Keana, and Obi Local Government in Nasarawa Southern Senatorial zone, Adding that he would cover the entire State, Which he disclosed that Nasarawa State is his constituency.

“My next target is to involve the Youth in my empowerment scheme”.

Mallam Adamu Apasa, The chairman of the scheme advised the beneficiaries to utilize the cash distributed to them.

The Chairman buttressed that the same gesture was extended to 100 men in Doma whom he said were given N10, 000  each with fertilizer.

Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in his speech applauded the state Deputy Governor for doing the needful.

He stated that the cash support of N10,000 accorded the womenfolk, saying the gesture was timely.

“We are proud to associate with you for empowering women, you are assisting me as a Senator,” He disclosed.
