The Chairman, Nasarawa State All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Isaac Kigbu, has disclosed this during an exclusive interview with selected Journalists at the site of Nasarawa State Food Reserve in Lafia, the state headquarters of Nasarawa.
He said the distribution exercise was in fulfillment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope to support farmers in the State.
Adding that 3,400 persons benefited from the gesture to boost food production by the President, Ambassador Isaac refuted the allegation raised by some people that he is collecting N17,000 for four bags of fertilizer.
Saying that the allegation can not stand, he further added that the distribution is the first batch of the exercise, and that the second stage can be completed as soon as possible.
