Nasarawa Commissioners To Vacate Office 24 Hours To Handover Day

Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has directed Commissioners in the State to submit their handing over note on May 20,2019.

 

The outgoing governor hinted this during an expanded State Executive meeting with all political appointees as he announced the dissolution of all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Personal Assistant s respectively.

 

The governor directed that Commissioners should submit their handover note to him on Monday 20th May 2019 and to vacate their offices between 10 and 11 am on May 29th.

 

Al-Makura appreciate all the appointees for their maximum cooperation to work as  a team for the interest of the State.

 

He further thanked them all for the role they played in his administration to succeed, stating that without each of them it would not have been the same in piloting the affairs of the State.

 

“I appreciate your commitment resilient for adding value to this administration to salvage Nasarawa state as well as bringing accomplished technocrats.

 

“As this administration bow out in the next two weeks one will find out that the government discharged its responsibilities credibly and also we are very comfortable and happy that the transition is to one of us who believes in the vision to take Nasarawa to the glory land”.

 

The outgoing governor further announced that some appointees holding key portfolio would remain until the last day.

 

The governor-elect, Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji Sule thanked Al-Makura for the invitation to attend the expanded State Executive Meeting.

 

“I felt so honoured that my Deputy and I were allowed to be part of the meeting and even given the chance to say something”.

 

David Ayewa who spoke on behalf of the appointees thanked the governor for the chance to serve the state.

 

As the appointees assured the outgoing governor of their support and confidence.
