A Forum of Senior Special Assistant,(SSA) to the Executive Chairman of Bassa LGA has passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman, Hon.Dr Joshua Sunday Riti leadership for his incredible performance in two years.
The SSA , expressed confidence on the Executive Chairman leadership under Joshua Riti , following the numerous projects of achievements and welfare of the staff ,as he pilot the affairs .
The statement , said they were happy with the performances of the Executive Chairman for introducing grassroots reform programs that enhance and protect vulnerable communities in the council .
The statement said that the forum review critically examined the intervention , security coordination, results management, and stakeholder engagement across the districts .
“Dr Joshua Sunday Riti , has earned our confidence. We are aware that when Riti assumed office as Executive Chairman of , there were questions about his independence.
“But democracy requires that we judge people by their conduct. Today, after observing the performance of the executive Chairman, we say: judge him by what he has done,” the statement read.
The statement said that the chairman demonstrated qualitative leadership prowess , strictly engaged stakeholders in a transparent manner, and maintained active preparations toward the 2027 general elections.
The statement said that while public confidence had been restored on the Executive Chairman was expected to maintain higher standards in rebuilding peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse ethnic groups residents in Bassa LGA.
The statement urged personnel to maintain neutrality , while calling on the people of Bassa LGA to support .
The statement also urged Nigerians not to give up on democracy and to remain active in holding institutions accountable.
They have unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of Dr. Joshua Riti , Executive Chairman of the Bassa LGA .
we have seen many improvements within the agency. Bassa LGA has gone beyond politics of lips service . It has become a symbol of effective governance; a role model that other councils should emulate.”
He continued to highlight Dr. Riti’s focus on improving the welfare of staff within Bassa LGA, “We’ve seen a real change in his administration. The man doesn’t just talk; he delivers.
He’s made sure the staff feels appreciated and treated fairly. The recent salary increment and transparent, performance-based promotion system show his commitment to improving their lives. It’s no surprise to see the staff so excited online recently. This is leadership we can truly be proud of.”
The Statement commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang that they have started enjoying the dividends of Local Government autonomy in financial management by making good use of funds .
The following achievements were recorded by the Executive Chairman of Bassa, Local Government Area (LGA) Hon. (Dr.) Joshua Sunday Riti’s projects:
He embarked on construction of a New Secretariat Complex to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery.
2. Construction of a Primary Health Clinic (PHC) in Chinye, Miango. (Tahu Ward)
3. Construction of a Primary Health Clinic in Zagun (Kakkek Ward).
4. Renovation of PHC, Zabolo Ward.
5. Renovation of Staff Quarters at PHC, Amo Katako, Kadomo Ward.
6. Construction of Kwall Road to improve, security, accessibility and economic activities.
7. Construction of a Perimeter Fence at Saya Market, Zabolo Ward.
8. Renovation of three classrooms and an office block at LEA Maiyanga, Kimakpa Ward.
9. Construction of a new primary school in Zirshe Community, Kimakpa Ward.
10. Electrification project in Zanwra Community, Zobwo ward
11. Electrification Project in Zikke Community (Kimakpa Ward)
12. Provision of transformer in Kihang Community (Kakek Ward)
13. Electrification project in Kishika Community (Kishika Ward)
14. Construction of a Bridge at Jimpi, Chokobo Community, Rimi Ward.
15. Rehabilitation of the NYSC Secretariat in Bassa.
16. Renovation of PHC Oureedam, Danmangu/Zodu ward respectively
