Since the endless killings, kidnapping, and insecurity challenges erupted in Imo State a few months aftermath of the official swearing-in ceremony of Sen.Hope Uzodinma as Imo Governor in the year 2020, that same crisis has continued to linger.
But upon that, Governor Uzodinma couldn’t hold himself concerning the unrest in the state under his government, especially in his own place, Orlu Zone Extraction of Imo was on last December 2021 expressively stated that his government will on January 3rd, 2022 during the 6th Edition of the Imo Stakeholders Meeting pronounce the obviously sponsors of insecurity in Imo State.
Unfortunately, the meeting which couldn’t hold on Jan.3rd as earlier fixed by the Governor has ended successfully on January 4th, 2022 at the Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chamber (Imo People’s House Owerri).
However, so many people who filled the hall for the meeting trooped out emmass to witness what some cross-sections of Imolites tagged as “Naming Ceremony” felt disappointed when Governor Hope Uzodinma who concluded his speech but was speechless on the pronouncement of the supposed sponsors of Imo insecurity.
Our Reporter who was present at the meeting revealed that Governor Uzodinma declined from naming the Imo terror sponsors due to the politicization by politicians.
According to Uzodinma,” I will allow security agencies to investigate the culprits and bring them to book”.
Some citizens of Imo State who spoke in their respective words accused that Governor Hope of lacking the leadership willpower to pronounce those instigating crises in the state he is governing, whereas some other political juggernauts commended the Governor declining to mention names but advised him to support the security agencies to do the needful.
