Mwagawul Youth Rejects PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate, Says No Vacancy In Govt. House As They Protest

Mwagawul Youths on Tuesday denied endorsing the People Democratic Party, PDP, Deputy Governorship candidate  Dr. James Dalop adding he is not their consensus candidate.

Spokesman of the protesting youths, Abdulrahman Mohammed in an interview during the protest said, there is no vacancy in government house.

Mass protest hits the rally of the PDP in Mangu LGA due to the fact Prof Sunny Tyoden the Deputy Governor to Governor Simon Lalong under APC led government of President Muhammadu Buhari is from the same Mwagawul as the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate.

The Youth came out in their numbers causing traffic gridlock as they blocked the main road linking the state capital with the southerners.

The youth reiterated that the main protest was due to 16 years of setback that has caused injustice to citizens of the immediate past regime.

The party supporters who carried APC posters and brooms, the symbol of the party seen jumping across the highway shouting “eight, eight, eight” meaning the incumbent Governor, Simon Lalong must serve eight years before handing over.

Some of the youth told our correspondent that they don’t have anything to do with the choice of Dr. James Dalop as the Deputy Governor of PDP so they are demonstrating to express their displeasures to the authorities.

The Police were seen controlling the situation asking the protesters to remain claim obviously to prevent further breakdown of law and order and prevent clashes with the PDP supporters who were at then still exiting the venue of the campaign flag off.
