Local Football league suffers unending crisis in Jos

The Plateau state Local Football Association Chairman Mangu, Hon Isa Musa has dispelled rumor that, Hon. Sunday Longbap has been appointed general manager of Plateau united football club, Jos.

Musa gave this clarification on Tuesday at a press statement on the current crisis rocking the association in Plateau state.

He revealed that no association has come out to endorse Mr. Sunday Longbap as the chairman of Plateau state football association.

Musa reminded football fans that due to the lingering crisis in local league within the state chapter Plateau united failed to be promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football league, NPFL, which remained elusive until the advent of the rescue administration under the leadership of Rt. Hon Simon Lalong who provided the necessary requirement needed.

Musa appealed to stakeholders in the state to rally round the new General Manager of the club to bring back the lost glory of the football club and build confidence on supporters of Plateau football.

He called on the teeming supporters of the club, soccer fans in and around Jos city to continue to support the club and also to be law abiding citizens in promoting games of football.

However, he condemned cabal within and outside the state who are working hard to sabotage the progress of the club for the personal interest to stay away.

Musa disclosed that stakeholders in Plateau state are in support of the General Manager, Mr. Pius K .Henwan who has the football experience to stimulate the team to performance.
