Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong and the former Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Yusuf Babayo Gagdi have charged the People of Plateau Central senatorial district of Plateau to vote for continuity and to remain committed to course moving the state forward.

The candidates in their separate address to the supporters on Friday called on the people of the state to vote for the All Progressive Congress APC from top to bottom in the forthcoming elections so as to reap the dividends of democracy.

Governor Simon Lalong has described Plateau central people as the strong hold of the APC in the forthcoming general election by asking them to come out and vote for credible candidates at his reelection bid in Pankshin local government area of the state.

The governor told the gathering that  the president Muhammadu Buhari led administration has done very well to revamp Nigeria from the collapse  and would do more if reelected   ,if given the mandate he is prepare  continue to providing  more dividends of democracy to the people of the state if reelected .

“Governor Simon Lalong reeled out the developmental strike of the Federal Government in providing security to flash points through approving the establishment of Police Mobile Squadron units in Gashish District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area and Shendam in other to end insecurity in the state.

Speaking further the governor expresses satisfaction with the Mangu dam which was completed by the president Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

He said the three barracks in Shendam in the southern zone, with the Air Force Barracks in Mangu for the Plateau Central and the Police Barracks in Gashish for Plateau North with this we should vote for credibility.

Lalong urged electorates to consider the tremendous  achievements  in the last  four years now reelect him as he has  laid a solid foundation for the Plateau State regain its lost glory.

The APC family and indeed the entire people of Plateau State owe us the duty of returning the party to power, failing which we will risk returning the state to the very people who had mortgaged her future and made it the sole inheritance of their own families.

Already, our record time scorecard in less than four years speaks for itself, cutting across all our five policy thrusts, as we have unleashed the dividends of democracy which have continued to flow and flood all the nooks and crannies of the entire Plateau landscape, thus justifying our bid for re-election in order to continue to do more and consolidate on the ones already put in place.

We have, for instance, turned around the Education Sector; we have breathed life into the hitherto comatose civil service; we have stemmed the hitherto open-ended spate of violence; we have diversified the state’s economy to agriculture with amazing results to be savored in the not-too-distant future; we have empowered women and youths like never before; we have resuscitated hitherto moribund state-owned industries; we have completed most of the multi-billion naira projects which we inherited from past administrations and also embarked on new, turn-key projects, such as the Lalong Legacy Projects, among numerous others

He called on the people of the central zone to vote massively for the APC in the forthcoming elections so that power would return to the zone in 2023.

Pankshin stadium was full with supporters of the All Progressive Congress  that trooped into the stadium to showcase their support for the reelection bid of Governor Simon Lalong.
