The Management Committee Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state, Ambassador Gideon Dung Davou has disclosed that Governor Simon Lalong is a peace builder who have sacrifice a lot to unite the Muslim and Christian in Jos were Jos south didn’t record any displacement of people since he came on board.
Amb.Davou in an interview with journalists at the council secretariat emphasized that the reelection of Lalong was not a surprise to the people of Plateau state because he has deliver on his campaign promises to warrant the citizens to give him the second mandate.
He maintained that the people overwhelmingly voted him owning to the peaceful coexistence they’ve been enjoying in the last four years of his administration which is the joy of democracy.
According to him ,the electorates have the challenges of maintaining law and order but I drew the attention of Plateau people to the quality of leadership of the rescue ambassador, if go to the length and breadth of the state then we were more divided into two across religious.
Gideon Davou went memory length to give details of democracy score starting with late Solomon Lar, whose then won with the margin of 2,000 ,Sen Joshua Dariye 6,000 and Governor Simon Lalong scored 50,000 difference which show Plateau people have spoken.
He advised the People Democratic party, PDP, candidate not waste his precious time approaching the election tribunal because they APC are ready to present facts and figures to proof that the election was free and fair.
The council boss stressed that the Governor is working hard to ensure that the state witness peaceful coexistence which is one of the five pillar policy to serve as cardinal point of revamping the agricultural , health and infrastructural development across the 17 LGAs .
He lamented that there was pocket of violence in some parts of Jos south LGA but no community was displace, we saw how the elites gang up ,and religious bigot ganging against the Governor Simon Lalong but all of their plan couldn’t success because the his performed credibly well to deserve himself a second chance.
Davou appealed to Governor Lalong to dedicate his victory yo all the 52 ethnic nationalities by ensuring that every tribes should be part of an all inconclusive government of Governor alert .
We employ him to create an opportunity of building synergy with with other meaningful Nigerian to embark on massive construction of roads towards opening rural roads to boost food production which is the main stay of Plateau people.
The completion of abandoned roads was a clear indication that this government is operating people oriented program as a sign of continuity, he added.
Gideon’s explained further that Governor Simon Lalong was able to managed the Lean resources given to him to pay salaries and unite the state ,he is a gentleman to the core especially for him to sustain the prompt payment of workers salary as priority.
He said Jos south LGA was able yo improve the IGR in the last two years under the regime of APC we thank God the economic meltdown has come and gone .
