Kogi  Indigene In FCT ,Plateau Drums  Support For Prof Michael Abdullahi

The Gubernatorial   Election of Kogi state,the indigene of Kogi in  Plateau and ,Abuja Chapter  have drummed support for the forthcoming primaries to  Prof Micheal Abdullahi as the governorship considering his track record of experience .

 

 

A group under the Kogi development association said ,they are supporting the aspirations of prof Abdullahi because of quality of leadership style which he promise to revamp the moribund industry in the state.

 

According to the statement made available to journalist by his campaign supporters in Plateau and FCT ,they said with the approval of  Indirect Primaries for APC in  Kogi Guber Race

 

The statement read,” We have this belief that if the mandate is given to Prof Michael Abdullahi the state shall witness tremendous achievement in the area of human capital and physical infrastructures development.

 

The group congratulated him for indicating interest to move the state forward especially in the area of women and youth empowerment in skills and vocational acquisition .

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved Indirect Primaries to elect the Party’s candidate for the forthcoming Kogi Governorship election.

 

A statement issued by APC National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Ossa-Onilu said that approval was given after a meeting of the NWC on Friday where a formal request from the Kogi State executive and stakeholders in preference for the Indirect Primary was considered and deliberated on.

 

Recall that the APC Constitution which was reemphasized by a decision of National Executive Committee (NEC) provides for three mode of primary election to elect Party candidates – Indirect, Direct Primaries and consensus – depending on the peculiarities of the state and preferences of the stakeholders in respective elections.

 

Meanwhile, the Party’s timetable for the sales of forms and conduct of primaries will be announced in due course.
