The people of Kanem local government of Plateau state has said, they would drum support for the National Auditor of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, Comrade Shamdung Ayuba ahead 2023 general election.
As Comrade Shamdung base on testimonies from people of the local government deserves absolute support from the people of Kanam LG.
The people of Kanam drumed the support during party’s stakeholders meeting held at Gidgid Lodge in Kanam local government of plateau state in a press statement made available to journalists by Saidu Adamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Adamu called for support for Shamdung ahead 2023 general elections based on the comments and testimonies by the various people of the locality.
On his part, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in the local government comrade Ayuba Usman, urgue comrade Shamdung to contest for the position of his choice under the people Democratic Party in the next general election billed for 2023.
According to Ayuba, “Shamdung have the virtue as well as the potentials of fighting and delivering of dividends of democracy to the people of Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam local Government bearing in mind his experience at the local and national levels of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE). “
As Mr. Salisu Shaibu expressed happiness that Comrade Shamdung is yet to identify with any particular political party, and however called on the people of Kanam LG to give Shamdung their unalloyed support ahead 2023 election as he described him as great mobiliser and achiever following his track records as achieved unionist.
The local government workers in Kanam Local government who add their voice said it is high time workers start participating in an active politics so as to defend the interest of workers who are the producers of the common wealth of the state in particular and the nation at large.
As he further commend Comrade Shamdung for his courage and called on others to emulate him.
In his response, Comrade Shamdung calls for unity among the people of Kanam which is the only panacea for any meaningful development.
He however call for tolerance, understanding, irrespective of religion, tribal and political difference and called the people of Kanam to unite and tolerate each other and focus on what will bring development and happiness to the local government.
The further stressed that they should shun political bickering and work towards making the local government peaceful and conducive for both local ,national as well as international investments.
