Justice Dabup Remands Cybercrime Suspect, Three Others In Correctional Centre In Jos

A dismissed Air Force personnel Corporal Garba Nasiru who has been faking as wing commodore Danjuma Bello of the Nigerian Air Force was arraigned before Honourable Justice Christine Dabup of High Court in Plateau for duping, snatching, issuing fake alerts to Hotel Manager, also duping an air force personnel, a trader issuance of dude check by implicating 3 others.
The dismissed Air force Personnel who specialized in defaulting people with fake bank alerts in Plateau state on Tuesday was arraigned implicated three others, victims, by sending fake alerts into Mohammed Nasiru Lawal of Ibukun Motor at Polo cars stand.
The prosecution counsel ,Barr .N.K. Tali apply to the court clerk for him to read the count charge to the defendants separately on the fake bank alerts dated 14-01-2020,18-01-2020 to read and interpreted to all the defendants .in the Hausa Language
The court clerk read count the six-count charge to the accused persons that the first has to do with criminal conspiracy and is punishable under section 58,59 of Plateau state High Court to Garba Nasiru the first accused person, Mohammed Nasiru Lawal and two others.
Garba Nasiru came to buy a Lexus Jeep No 330, V L 23HA 31164601986 engine on the 17-01-2020 at Ibukun Motor, Polo club under the jurisdiction of this court.
The charge read that defendant Garba Nasiru sent fake bank alerts to, Mohammed Nasiru, Christopher Emefile and Emmanuel Emelehu who sell cars at Ibukun motor received an unconfirmed fake money account amounting to N3.3 million.
According to the count charge, the 1st accused person arrived at Ibukun motor in the company of one other person all dressed in Air force uniforms pretending to be buyer later disappeared without returning back to collect the original documents of the sold car.
The second count charge read, “under section 306,307 the defendants committed an offence of cheating and defaulting through disguising as army personnel which punishable by Plateau state penal court.
However, the 3rd count charge read, that the accused persons obtain under section 1 subsection 1, a,b,c,2 obtaining property under fraudulent means using as Ahmed Danjuma claiming was his names by forcefully collecting the sum of #50,000.00 from one Mohammed Ahmed Danjuma.
The Fourth count charge read, cheating by impersonation, you, Garba Nasiru a sacked air force personnel impersonated with two other person claims to be Air Commodore committed the offence under the jurisdiction of this court.
The Fifth count charge read, cheating by impersonation punishable under 2017 law of the Plateau High by cheating a trader at Angwan Rikkos by name Napoleon Titus of sending fake alerts of N50,000.00 when he discovered that the alert was fake.
Sixth count charge read, cheating by impersonation punishable under section 308,309 plateau state high rule of 2017, you Garba Nasiru sent fake alerts to the Manager Director of a Hotel at Millionaire Quarters by lodging inside for weeks with the sum of N26,000.00 and other expenses sent N100,000.00 disguising as Army General.
The charge was read before the four accused persons they all pleaded not guilty to the offense before the Court.
Barr N.K. Tali the prosecution counsel apply that the accused persons be remanded at the correctional center after each of the accused persons clients filed their bail applications which the court adjourned to the 26-03-2021 for ruling on the bail applications.
