Stakeholders of APC in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State rose from a meeting at Angware with a unanimous vote of no confidence on the party’s caretaker chairman Hon Azi Pate, requesting that he relinquishes his position forthwith.
The meeting, which was convened for the purpose of presenting three Chairmanship aspirants for consideration by the State saw three consensus candidates emerging: Hon Yakubu Ezekiel (35 votes), Comrade Bulus Izam (10 votes), and the only female aspirant Mrs. Hanatu Ajiya gained an automatic nomination in line with the party’s revised guidelines.
