The State Police Command Public Relations Officer DSP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement made available to newsmen in Bauchi, said the incident occurred ‘On the 7/7/2015 at about 13:30 hours, Joint Police/ Vigilante group while on patrol along Narabi village, Toro LGA of Bauchi rescued and arrested one Mohammed Abdullahi male who is age 28, he hails from Bajoga LGA, of Gombe state who was about to be lynched by irate mob numbering over One thousand.
According to him, exhibits recovered from the suspect includes ,two life ammunition of Lar rifle, two national ID card of one Shiga Abel, Danjuma and one Umaru Hamisu all males, two savings withdrawal booklets of Eco Bank bearing Mohammed Abdullahi Sale and Alhassan Inusa Abdu and the Suspect personal I’d card and ATM card bearing his name.
Other item mentioned by the PPRO include Three Airtel SIMs and one MTN SIMs cards, a Woman veil and N500 note suspected to be counterfeit. He said the case is under investigation and as monitoring is continued.
