The Zamfara State Government has suspended the Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Dr Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi, over alleged misconduct and insubordination.
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Mallam Abubakar M. Nakwada, the suspension takes immediate effect.
“The State Government has approved the immediate suspension of the Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Dr Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi, for gross administrative misconduct and insubordination.”
According to the SSG, the state government has assured that measures will be put in place to ensure the smooth running of the academic session and other administrative processes.
“The government assures the Polytechnic community and the general public that measures have been put in place to ensure the uninterrupted administration of the institution,” the statement concluded.
