Jigawa State To Spend Over N8.8 Billion Naira On Water Projects In Urban Areas

Jigawa state is to spend the sum of N8.8 billion for the supply of water to people in the state living in the urban areas among, for Kazaure local government area its water projects will gulp the sum of  N131 million while Garki local government will gulp the sum of N41million for its water project.

This was disclosed by the Acting Managing Director Jigawa state Water Board Engineer Suleiman Umar Abaya in an interview with our reporter in Dutse, he added that that the state government will also spend the sum of N119 million for Babura water projects while Gumel town its own water project to will gulp the sum of N190 million naira.

Engineer Abaya stated that Kazaure projects and Ringim water projects is about to be completed as only finishing touches remain for the projects  in the two major town to be competed.  He also assured that the issue of Birnin Kudu water problems as well as Dutse local government water project with Hadejia local government water issue will soon be addressed soon.

He advice the media and general public to balance their report before airing their reports because filling unbalance reports or airing is not the best,  he charged them to always compare contrast while carrying an investigation.

Explaining further he said that the issue of Dutse and Kiyawa water shortage occured due to technical failure from their machines which normally pump water to the general public assuring that it is now being controlled as new input has already been installed and that everything is normal now.
