The Governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa state has rejected the result of the Governorship primary election and called for cancellation of the result without further delay.
Ubale stated this in a statement made available to the Newsmen in Dutse.
He alleged that, it was only few individuals that sat and took decision on indirect primaries to satisfy interest of the incumbent governor Muhammad Badaru.
“As a gubernatorial aspirant, I was never consulted before such a decision was taken,” pharmacist Hashim noted.
The aspirant explained that the National Secretariat of the party made it clear that primaries into all elective offices of their party shall be by direct primaries but stake holders can be consulted if they wish to take a different decision than the direct primaries.
“But In Jigawa, many of us were never consulted on the decision for indirect primaries,” he pointed out.
“As an aspirant, i bought an expression and nomination forms to contest for governorship, i have been cleared to contest for governorship but nobody ever consulted me on the decision taken,” he stated.
“I, Pharmacist Hashim Ubale, a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the APC in Jigawa, unequivocally hereby reject the results of the primaries which declared the incumbent governor winner.”
“As loyal member of our great party, I appealed to all members to remain calm and wait for necessary action from the national secretariat for the injustice done to us”, Hashim pleaded.
