Jigawa State High Court Sentences 32 Year Old Man To Life Imprisonment For Raping Five Year Old Girl

A Jigawa state High court sitting in Dutse has sentenced a 32 year old man Auwalu Shu’aib to life imprisonment for rapping a five year old girl.

Delivering the Judgment Justice Ahmad Isah Gumel  said the suspect was accused of rapping a five year old girl at Dinnaka village in Miga local government area of Jigawa state.

Ahmad explained that the court had listened to four different witnesses and satisfied that the accused person had committed the offence.

He said the offence is criminal offence and is contrary to section 283 of Jigawa state panel code.

The Judge therefore sentenced the accused to life imprisonment to serve as deterrent to others
