Jigawa Hisba Command Arrest Dog Sellers Alongside 36 Bottles Of Alcohols, Nine Jerry Cans Of Burkutu Local Beer

The Jigawa Hisba Command has arrested two dog sellers popularly known as Warjawa, they were arrested alongside 36 bottles of alcoholic drinks and Nine, Jerry Cans of locally made beer in Gujungu And Kiyawa Local Government Area Of Jigawa State

 

The Hisba commandant Malam Ibrahim Dashiru Garki disclosed this to our reporter shortly after the arrest, he said the action fallow the instruction and directives given to all local government areas by the state government to close down all brothels and that hotels to stop selling beer or other alcoholic drinks in their domain.

Garki said their men arrested one Angas man an Indigene of Kiyawa local government area along Kiyawa Jahun road with thirty-six bottles of alcohols; he said all the suspected has been handed over to the Police in Kiyawa as directed by the state government to take them to court.

He added also that fifteen people were also apprehended by the Hisba Command in Shuwarin at a local hotel and that among the suspects, nine of them are women suspected to be prostitutes while the remaining six are men suspected to be criminals who are using the women to hide their heinous acts.

The commandant further explained that two young men who make the local beer known as Burukutu to the Angas people in Gujungu were all handed over to the police, adding that the suspects suspect were paraded before a Sharia court in Gagarawa.

He stated that the court has sentenced the suspects to two years imprisonment or to pay a fine of twenty thousand  Naira each with a punishment of twenty lashes of the cane each in the presence of the public in the street of Gujungu Town.

He assured that very soon they will reach the Hadejia area and the Malam Madori local government to make sure all drinking joints and hotels where prostitution is taking place to be closed down.
