Jigawa Govt. Solicits Emir Of Hadejia Support On Open Defecation

The Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje has re-affirmed the support and co-operation of Traditional Institution, to ensure the success of the open defecation free programme at all levels.
The Emir gave the assurance when he received a delegation of the programme implementation committee in the state led by the commissioner for Water Resources and Sanitation, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa on an advocacy visit in his palace
The Emir, who is also the chairman council of Chiefs, in the state he directed all the District heads Village heads and all ward heads in his domain not to relent their effort in enlightening the people against the Health hazard of Open defecation at their respective areas
Alhaji Adamu Maje, described it as unbecoming to defecate in an open place which was against the values, religion, and culture of all Muslims.
Earlier, the commissioner Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa said the visit was to intimate the Royal Father on the implementation of the Open defecation free in Auyo, Kafin Hausa and Birniwa local governments.
The commissioner also solicited for the Emir`s support and cooperation to ensure the success of the programme in the three selected local government areas for his emirate.
