Jigawa Govt Constitute Nomadic Education Board

The Jigawa State Government has constituted a board for nomadic education; the state commissioner for education Alhaji Lawan Yunusa Danzomo inaugurated the board members last week in his office.

The commissioner said the board members are expected to report to their respective offices with immediate effect as he charged them to work hard and move the state forward.

This was disclosed by Hajia Ramatu Muhammed the executive secretary of nomadic education in the state adding that the appointment was done based on merit.

According to her six people were inaugurated as board members while Malam Nasuru Muhd Modi Hadejia was made the chairman of the board.

She assured that the board will establish more than 200 adult classes for Nomadic in the state, speaking further she decried the poor shortage of teachers in which over 50 percent of the nomadic primary schools have only one teacher.

“The government has provided all the educational structures for the school including shelters and teaching materials with high enrollment of pupils but no available teachers to teach,” he said.
