The former Senate President, Sen.Anyim Pius Anyim has advised Plateau delegates ahead of presidential primaries to respect the zoning system enshrined in the 1999 constitution as an attempt to jettison the ideas of rotation that might affect the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general election.
Speaking to the delegates at the stakeholders meeting held at Party state Secretariat, Yakubu Gowon Way opposite NTA Jos, Sen.Pius Anyim said any plan to scuttle earlier founding fathers’ democracy in Nigeria is tantamount to destabilizing the nation.
He further explains that all politicians in Nigeria agreed to come together to ensure that the military junta go back to their barracks when Late Baba Solomon Duashep Lar took the bold step to confront them.
Sen.Anyim stressed that the Late Lar agenda was anchored on two issues the first is to make sure that the army returned back to the barracks and the second point is for Nigeria to adhere to zoning arrangements between the southern and northern parts of the country.
He issued a warning to the north to allow power to rotate to the south saying, any candidate that emerges from either south, southwest, or southeast is agreeable.
Anyim Pius stated that his declaration of intention to vie for the seat of the Presidency was borne out of his personal conviction to serve Nigeria and ensure that the Nigerian enjoy the dividends of democracy.
According to him, my interaction with all the delegates was to familiarize myself and identify some of the major issues that are generating crises since the return of democracy in 1999 because the colonial master built the plateau state as a tourist and development state.
He noted that if given the mandate he plans to deposition Plateau state as one of the commercial hubs of Nigeria where all foreigners can harness the business potential of the state.
Sen. Anyim revealed that international crops farming shall be restored in Plateau, and plan technologies gadgets to improve the safety of lives and properties of citizens.

Anyim emphasized that I have worked as a civil servant, occupy offices all my records are there for each and everyone to see, and also transact business with people without cheating them.
