Jigawa Government Officials Shun NALDA Training Of 245 Youths On Soil And Extension Service

The National Agricultural land development Authority NALDA is to train 245 youths on soil and extension service in Jigawa State.

 

The youths were drawn from the 27 local governments across the state with a view to educate and enlighten the farmers in the state on new modern farming techniques.

 

This was announced by the head of the extension service representing NALDA in Jigawa state Malan Ado Garbage shortly after the opening of the training which is currently going on at the NYSC camp in Fansau in Jigawa State.

 

He stated further that the training started on 26 April and will end on 10th May 202.

Dr. Ado Garba explained that resource persons were drawn from the Federal University Of Dutse.

He thanked the Jigawa state Government for providing accommodation to participants and resource persons as well as feeding.

He said that after the training each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.

He added further that their aim is to provide enough extension workers to all states of the federation.

It was gathered by our reporter that none of the state government officials attended the opening ceremony.
