The plan by Plateau Independent Publishers, IPA, to ensure the defeat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 Governorship elections and Plateau South Senatorial District, has been uncovered.
A source who confided in this reporter said that IPA is sore displeased with the agenda of Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon Simon Lalong in killing community papers in the state despite their numerous sacrifices and support for his government. And that their fear is that the APC Governorship aspirant Nentawe Yilwada is an apologist of the idea of killing community papers.
So far according to our investigation, IPA, has gathered and is still gathering so many facts to nail the APC, and it is in constant touch with so many forces within and outside the APC and even aggrieved members of the government.
Pundits opine that from the look of things, the leading opposition party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will play a little role in fighting the APC compared to what IPA has in stock after the ban on campaigns is lifted.
A call was put forth to the IPA Chairman, Shabul Mazadu on the issue but he declined to make comments. However, he said, Plateau deserves a governor who will respect and promote unity, harness all sectors of the economy, and boost employment opportunities.
