An Indian hemp dealer in Babura local government area of Jigawa State has killed a police Inspector. The police public relation officer in the State Audu Jinjiri who confirmed the death of the officer named Mutari Lawan went to Yarkirya village market after he got report of Indian hemp dealers displaying Indian hemp in the market.
On getting to the market, the killed Police officer saw the Hemp dealer selling Indian Hemp in the market, and while trying to arrest the suspect, he was stabbed by the suspect with a Knife and he was rushed to Gaskoli Hospital.
He was however referred to Babura General Hospital for further medical treatment but died in the process after suffering from a serious bleeding as a result of losing much blood from the wound.
The Police however confirmed that the suspect one Umar Yahaya was letter arrested by police in Babura division and that the suspect has been transferred to state police command for investigation.
The suspect Yahaya who is 35 years old is an indigene of kazaure local government area of the state was arrested with a sharp knife and some rolls of Indian Hemp in his pocket also stated that after investigation the suspect will be taken to court.
