Imo State Elders Advisory Council Adopts Ihedioha, PDP Governorship Candidate As Okorocha’s Successor

• Wants Military, Police To Distance From Polls In Imo

Some cross section of elders-statesmen from across the three geo-political zones of Imo State,under the platform of ” Imo State Advisory Council of Elders”,was on Friday,March 1st 2019 in Owerri,officially endorsed the Imo PDP guber candidate for the 2019 election,Hon.Emeka Ihedioha,as their consensus governorship flagbearer,come March 9th 2019.

In a communique generally signed and issued to the newsmen,the State Converner of the Council,Prof.Francise Dike,from Orlu zone extraction of Imo State,said the endorsement of Ihedioha originated after due consultation by the leadership of Imo State Advisory Council Elders in a meeting held in Owerri on Feb.25th 2019,collectively resolved that the Elders in the state would support the governorship aspiration of the PDP candidate,Ihedioha,because he has all it takes to make the state better,if elected as Governor Rochas Okorocha’s successor,come March 9th 2019.

Prof.Dike,who read from the communique released to the public,disclosed that the Elders are desirous and determined to work in synergy for peace,stability,development and good governance in the state.

“That the good people of Imo State should troop out enmass and vote for Ihedioha,of the PDP as the choice of Imo State on March 9th 2019. That all Imolites should endeavor to vote and protect the integrity of the electoral process against miscreants. That the members of council from across the three zones of the Imo State,individually and collectively append our signatures as evidence of our agreement to the resolutions of this communique”.

Elders of the Council from the three senatorial zones,Prof.F.C.Dike,SAN,from Orlu zone,Engr.Charles C.Ugwuh,OON,from Okigwe zone and Air Commodore Luke Ochulor,from Owerri zone, on behalf the zones,adopted and Ihedioha for the 2019 guber polls.
