The Imo State Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skill Acquisition (Employment), Hon.Noble Atuleg Abiaso, was on last Monday, April 6th 2020, in Owerri office received the Executive Members of the Owerri West Journalists Association, OJA, as the paid him a very warm courtesy visit upon his assumption of duties.
The OJA leaders were ably led by the Association’s Chairman, Mr.Sunny Ejiogu, with some other members of the Executive.
Addressing OJA, the Commissioner, Hon.Noble expressed delight to be honoured by Owerri West Journalists, even as he promised to offer gainful employments,skillful acquisitions and empowerments to Imo people in no distant time but appealed to Imolites to support the government of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The Commissioner while speaking to OJA described Gov.Uzodinma as a man with native sense to offer good governance through shared prosperity.
Hon.Abiaso, further thanked God for using Governor Hope to bring him into the political firmaments of Imo State were he would definitely wax stronger and unveil his leadership skills as a Commissioner.
“As you can see, I am the first person to be appointed as a Commissioner in the entire Umunwaoha Bloc in Owerri West.
It is not by my power but by the grace of God. I am poised to offer good job. And I must deliver and I shall never disappoint the people of Umunwaoha Bloc, Owerri West and Imo State at large. I thank God today that I am the youngest Commissioner so far appointed by the Governor”, Hon.Noble submitted.
The Imo Entrepreneurship Commissioner, Hon.Noble, who hails from Irete Community in Owerri West LGA of Imo State, however promised to use his Ministry to train and retrain Imo people on viable skills that would benefit their future lives especially the youths, women and others in the state.
” I will give Imo youths, women and noble men training with great skills. We shall monitor, evaluate and follow up our beneficiaries to ensure that they judiciously make use of their financial support after training. Remember, we have come to share prosperity not money”,he stated.
“We shall provide enabling environment for businesses to strive because we have blueprints, we have plans to protect our trainees. After training we shall empower youths and monitor them with taskforce to ensure they comply with all the directives. Our beneficiaries after the training would never ever go back to the streets jobless because we shall regulate their business activities”,he assured.
Hon.Atulegwu, therefore disclosed that proposals are on the way seeking for the International Donor Agencies from across the world for support, as he expressed optimism for partnership with agencies.
“Our Entrepreneurship Skill Acquisition Programmes shall be a continues exercise which may come into batches for 3-6 months”,he noted.
He finally called on Imolites to join the govt.of the day in Imo State in the 3R’s leadership policy of Gov.Uzodinma.
