Imo APC Women Protest Against Okorocha’s Suspension

The women numbering over one thousand persons on Saturday,March 2nd 2019 in Owerri the capital city of Imo State,took an aggressive protest against the suspension of the Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha,from the party by the National Chairman,Comr.Adams Oshimole.

The women who protested under the aegis of Imo APC Women were armed with various placards inscriptions chatting all forms of war songs,calling on the President Mohammadu Buhari to order the immediate sack of Oshimole from the party.

Their placards captions are:”President Buhari pls.intervene in Imo State,Oshimole must not step his feet into Imo land,INEC is thorough look at the masses in Imo-Oshimole back off,and Oshimole how much bribe do you need from Imo women?,other placards inscriptions includes:Voice of the people is the voice of God,Oshimole has destroyed APC in Imo and in the country,Oshimole leave Owelle Okorocha alone and Oshimole is destroying the party is irreversible why?”.

Speaking on behalf of the women,the Imo APC State Woman Leader,Mrs.Tessy Ohanumba,expressively condemned in totality the injustice melted of Gov.Rochas Okorocha by the party leadership lead by the Party Chairman,Adams Oshimole,whom they described as a wicked man who does not have the general interest of Imo people at heart.

The Party Leader of the women in the state,Mrs.Ohanumba,therefore disclosed that that Imo women in APC have resolved that Adams Oshimole to desist from entering Imo State,even as they have also called for the resignation of Oshimole within 14 days,which they gave as an ultimatum to the National Working Committee,NWC,of APC to reserve the suspension of Gov.Okorocha,which they tagged as purported suspension.

“In a paper read and released to the public,the Imo APC Woman Leader,Ohanumba, said : Enough is enough,we are here to warn the Adams to seize from further insulting and attacking Governor Rochas Okorocha. For whatever may be the reason, be it for current Senatorial position or 2023 Presidential position,Oshimole cannot stop Rochas for God has destined for him.  Oshimole single handedly imposed an unacceptable candidate who is not of APC. This is unaccountable to us. He illegally dissolved the State Exco inspite of court judgement. This is unaccountable to us as Imolites.
