The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof.Yemi Osinbajo who was expected to be in Owerri, Imo State, today, Friday,Dec.21st 2018 for the official kick off the 2019 Imo APC Guber campaign for their party flagbearer, Sen.Hope Uzodinma was missing in action,as he was alleged to have boycotted his party’s gubernatorial event due to some presidential engagements and assignments.

The event was however graced by some members of the National Working Committee, SWC, led by the National Chairman of the party, Comr.Adams Oshimole.

Addressing the mammoth crowd at the party venue of the programme along Owerri/Okigwe Road, Comr. Oshimole expressed satisfaction with the large numbers of people he witnessed and promised Imo APC victory in the 2019 general polls.

“My happiness is that we are not part of those trying to build a political dynasty for your outgoing Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha. We have succeeded in a frustrating little son-in-law, Hon. Uche Nwosu out from our party, APC. Rochas and his cohorts who do not want the interest of APC and Ndi-Imo must fail. You people know that with Sen.Uzodinma will smile again in Imo. You must support Sen.Hope because we in APC have chosen him and with his capacity, we are going to win all elections”, he stated.

Oshimole, therefore, warned that all billboards, banners, posters, and vehicles bearing the photos of his party’s Presidential Candidate, Mohammadu Buhari, of APC, with Uche Nwosu, of AA, should be removed with immediate effect even as he described it as anti-party which is against the INEC constitution and mandate.

In his words, the Imo APC Guber candidate, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, thanked the leadership of his party for coming to honor him in Imo. He promised APC that he is going to win the election as Governor Okorocha’s successor.

He called on the party members to remain peaceful and united as the election is drawing very close.

Sen.Uzodinma more so reassured APC that he would be sworn-in as the next Imo State Governor, come 2019.
