Presidential Campaign In Imo: Vote Any Candidate Of Your Choice-Buhari

As the 2019 general elections draws closer,the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari,has told the people of Imo State most especially the members and supporters of APC to support and vote for any candidate of their choices who are contesting for any elective positions,come Feb.16th and March 2nd 2019 in Imo State.

“Due to the obvious intra-party and the internal party leadership crisis bordering the leadership authenticity of the party heads amongst the party and its authority in the Imo State chapter of APC,you have been charged vote across party lines. It is very important for all APC (Imolites) to support and cast your votes to any candidate of your choice”,Buhari disclosed.

Mr.President made the above statement at the  Dan Anyaim Stadium Owerri, on Tues.Jan.29th 2019 during his official presidential campaign rally flagoff ceremony in the state,were he ,charged Imolites and APC faithful(s) to vote according to their conscience.

He frowned at what he described as senseless actions and activities from the  leaders of Imo APC in their inability to apply common senses while piloting the political affairs of the party in Imo State.

Buhari therefore recognized Sen.Hope Uzodinma as the guber flagbearer of Imo APC for the March 2nd 2019 governorship polls.

 He also recommended Gov.Rochas Okorocha,for his emergence as the 2019 Imo APC Senatorial candidate for Orlu zone Senate seat,and all the candidates of the party who are contesting.

The APC National Chairman,Comr.Adams Oshimole,in his words described Sen.Uzodinma as the authentic Imo APC guber candidate,but called on Imolites to support and vote for all those contesting for positions under APC in 2019.

Oshimole therefore expressed optimism that with Sen.Hope that Imo people shall witness good governance.

“Vote for APC,vote for Uzodinma because he is the rightful guber standard bearer of Imo APC and vote for all APC candidates”,Adams appealed.

Speaking,the Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha,described the leadership of Adams as the worst thing that had ever happened in the history of APC as a political party and in Nigerian as a nation,even as he accused the National APC Chairman of injustice and impunity. 

“Oshimole played a very game against the wishes of Imo APC when he denied my son-in-law,Hon.Uche Nwosu his victory and mandate during the last guber primaries conducted under his watch. Because of Adams injustice to Nwosu and so many other members ( aspirants) of Imo APC,we have allowed them to seek for justice in some other political parties. That was the major reasons that lead Nwosu to join AA”,Okorocha noted.

The National Party Bodd,Oshimole however debunked the political marriage of APC and AA by Governor Okorocha,insisted that APC can never be in any alliance with AA.

“There is nothing like any Perfect Alliance as claimed by Gov.Rochas with any political party”,Adams maintained.

Highlight of the Presidential campaign flagoff of Buhari was the official handover of the party flag to Sen.Hope as the guber flagbearer of the guber polls in Imo State under APC by Mr. President and the National Party Chairman who joined hands to show Imolites their party’s guber standard bearer for the March 2nd 2019 polls.
