Iche Community Development Association President, Sunday Gulong Pays Solidarity To Senator Napoleon Bali Over Tribunal Verdict

The President General of IChe Community Development Association of Langtang , Hon.Sunday Gullong has paid solidarity with Senator Napoleon Bali over the tribunal verdict by rejecting the outcome of the judgment.
Sunday Gulong in a statement made available to this medium in Jos, says the verdict doesn’t reflect the true mandate of the people of the southern Senatorial district of Plateau.

The President of IChe Community Development Association has rejected the verdict of the Senatorial Election petition tribunal.
The tribunal struck out that the ground one presented by Hon.Simon Lalong has merits on his petitions where he alleged PDP didn’t have the structure to nominate him as a candidate,
“The judgment is against reason, against the facts and evidence presented in court, against the relevant Electoral Laws, Guidelines and Regulations as well as the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended),” the statement reads.
Adding that the new Electoral Act 2023 clearly explains that the issue brought by the petitioners are strictly a preelection matter
“Indeed, the judgment is generous in technicalities and very short in delivering substantial justice in the matter.”
The IChe aligned with Napoleon Bali and united stronger “while efforts are on to ensure that at appellate court to restored mandate”.
He said Senator Napoleon Bali overwhelmingly won the 25th February 2023 general poll but the tribunal delivered a different judgment that PDP didn’t have a valid structure to sponsor and nominate him.
According to him,” As the body of IChe Community Development Association of Tarok-speaking natives, we employ the appeal court to follow the path of honour and truncate the plan of enemies of democracy.
We want to align ourselves with the aggrieved senator IChe Community Development Association towards promoting the tenets of democracy in Nigeria,” he said.
