The Traditional Ruler of Mwaghavul Speaking Natives of North-Central Nigeria, HRH. Da Nelson A.Bakfur and Former COCIN President, Prof Pandang Yamsat have admonished the sons and daughters of the Mwaghavul nation to be more united in all their human endeavors as no tribes can achieve success without unity of oneness.
Speaking during the Mwaghavul Bible Transition committee celebration of 100 years centenary and Thanksgiving held at COCIN LCC Panyam, Mangu LGA, Plateau state of Nigeria.
In their separate statements, the Mishakagham Mwaghavul, Da Nelson Bakfur tasked them to eschew politics of bitterness and imbibe tolerance with others to achieve tremendous progress in the land.
According to him, the Mwaghavul people are known for their peaceful disposition and accommodating in nature, so we must continue to tolerate each other for peace to reign.
The Royal Father cautioned against the politics of bitterness and intolerance, no one can achieve success without the unity of purpose, so I call on all of you to stand as one indivisible entity.
The Chairman of the occasion ,Prof.Pandang Yamsat said that he is so excited today marks a turning point in the history of the gospel in Mwaghavul land where the missionary arrived this land.
He explained that without identity of your language and English and Hausa speaking language can’t give you sense of identity because root is your language identity of where you coming from.
He disclosed that the unity of Nigeria can’t be achieved until if your family is united and Nigeria can’t move forward with the level of disunity recorded in the country today.
Prof. Yamsat reiterated that if Mwaghavul nation is not united ahead of the forthcoming governorship race other tribes might snatch the power in 2023.
He expressed satisfaction that the celebration of 100 years centenary has brought small and mighty together in Mwaghavul land and is the greatest achievement they have recorded.
Pandang said Nigeria is yet to move forward because of problems associated with lack of identity until small, small tribes are recognized in Nigeria nothing good would happen.
The Mwaghavul Bible translation centenary story in partnership with MMI /NBTC and Puus cin Plang work together with CMUP and SUM to developed over the time that the gospel of mark was produced in 1920.
The gospel first came to Mwaghavul land through the white from England in the year 1907 it was with a man by the name of Rev.J.S Lloyd and the gospel today had spread across the Mwaghavul land.
