How Gov.Sule Completed And Furnished Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, New Complex With State of The Art Medical Equipment-CMD (See Photos)

The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ikrama Hassan has uncovered that the incumbent administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has completed and furnished the new complex of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia.

Dr. Ikrama gave the hint during a press conference held at the Administrative block of the state Tertiary health facility.

He said the hospital can compete with National Hospital Abuja in terms of state-of-the-art equipment, office accommodations, staff strength.

“Before the coming of Engineer Abdullahi Sule we were battling with less office space, but today we have more offices for admin officers

Also in the area of bed space, you are aware that we were lacking bed space in our Accident and Emergency Unit, but today the Governor has made a superlative achievement in that regard by providing additional bed space.

He reeled out some of the giant strides of Engineer Abdullahi Sule to DASH to include the furnishing of the entire building, departments.

He stated further that can boast of over fifty offices with the completion of the new complex, the further buttressed that the hospital has one of the best centers for breast cancer having a functional mammogram.

He listed some of the state-of-the-art medical equipment provided by Engineer Abdullahi Sule to include, Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, Mobile x-ray, Digital x-ray, Dental chair, Echo machine, Four Ventilators and Defibrillators and among others.

He explained that the incumbent administration as the Chief Medical Director of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia swung into action to control the crowd in the hospital at will by creating barriers in the old wing of the hospital.

“As an indigene of Lafia there is a lot of criticism on why I created barriers all over the hospital, imagine women would come to the hospital from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm waiting for food from relatives of patients”.

To tackle the housing deficit in DASH, the Governor hastened to complete houses for senior staff, intermediate, Suite for Gynecologists, and House for officers.

Governor Abdullahi Sule within two years also tackled erratic electricity supply in the state-owned Tertiary institution, by donating two 330KVA transformers.

 

One of the 330KVA transformers was installed at the main DASH, while the other transformer is installed at the DASH Annex at millionaire quarters.

Engineer Abdullahi Sule in order to address the shortage of offices at DASH embarked on the completion of the new complex built by the then Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

More so, the building of Internet Service for the hospital which serves as a key into the superhighway built a center for Information and Communication.

In twenty-four months, Governor Sule ensured effective and efficient service delivery to hard-to-reach communities donated three “Hospital on Wheels”, a vehicle with a theater room, Consulting room with air conditioners, and a generator.

Other superlative achievements of the Governor include a robust residency programme which was a seven-year programme meant to boost the morale of doctors in the state.

He added that before the coming of Engineer Abdullahi Sule Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital was grappling with insufficient accreditation of courses not until the intervention of the Governor.

Governor Sule swung into action with the initiative of the Chief Medical Director which gave birth to the accommodation of additional four courses.
