An Aspirant for the Governorship seat in Plateau State under the People Democratic Party,PDP, Hon. Kefas Wungak Ropshit has asked the people of the state to vote for someone coming from the private sector to reposition the dwindling economic fortune of the state.
Speaking to this medium at Crispan Hotel in Jos ,Kefas Ropshit decried the deplorable state of infrastructure in the state, saying that all those that governed the state came from the public sectors and the state couldn’t make progress since its creation in 1976.
He applauded the member representing Barkin Ladi /Riyom Federal constituency for introducing people-oriented projects that touch more on the lives of people at the grassroots that is why we join to celebrate him .
According to him,” I feel so very happy and full of joyful with numerous testimony coming from the people what one of the reasons you see a mammoth crowd are here to celebrate Hon.Dr. Mwalkon after his accident almost claimed his life.
He explained further that he has embarked on people-oriented projects that touched the lives of people that is why we all assembly here to celebrate his contribution to humanity and God’s faithfulness.
Wungak Ropshit stressed that he join the race for the governorship of Plateau state was to simply truth as a true Plateau man with the passion to transform the state, development, and improve the infrastructural base of the state.
He frowned at the situation where people are saying why would he defect to PDP as he supported Governor Simon Bako Lalong to come into power, Kefas Ropshit told our medium,”I’m a plateau before any other thing and he never held any membership of a political party in Nigeria.
He disclosed that the major problem of Plateau people is the issue of political parties and once I win I shall put a side-issue party and work for the development of the state, not individual interests.
Ropshit added that he has no intention to fight any aspirants but to focus more on revamping the state because I’m coming from the private sector and I know how to turn one naira into two hundred Naira.
He noted that what the people of Plateau need now is someone with the spirit of uniting all the tribes and religious leaders to come together and move the state forward.
Ropshit Wungak emphasized that he is not into the gubernatorial seat for competition, but to ensure that the state progress and is not a do or die as promised to partner with all the key stakeholders to ensure that he build the state.
