Dogara’s support group has on Saturday urged President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to include the speaker of the 8th Assembly, RT Honorable Yakubu Dogara as one of his cabinets for the betterment of Nigeria.
In a statement to Journalists, signed by its National Chairman, comrade John Emmanuel Rica, the group noted that a prominent politician like Dogara, if given any political appointment, will help a lot in bringing development in the country, as wonderfully performed during Speakership.
The group pointed out that, former speaker Dogara was among the people that rallied around President Tinubu in his early campaign and was also instrumental to the success of the president during the primary elections.
According to the statement, before the All-Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries election, Dogara have been going around all the thirty-six (36) States to woe delegates to support Tinubu towards the success of the president’s bidding for the presidency, Dogara did that because he knew what is good for the Nation and he believed in the leadership style and quality of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Although along the line he didn’t support the Muslim-Muslim Tickets because he believed in one Nigeria that justice and equity are for all.
However, political calculations made it necessary for the president to use the Muslim-Muslim Tickets to win the presidential election.
“We believe that the president didn’t use the Muslim-Muslim Tickets in order to promote religion in Nigeria, we also believe that the president is capable and ready to move Nigeria to the desired destination that seeks to address the numerous challenges of Nigeria ranging from Economic, Security and social challenges.
Adding that “We have heard him speak on various occasions and we believe he is ready to transform Nigeria. One of the statements that made us believe that he means business is his openness to all talents and brains regardless of party, religion, ethnicity and what have you.
The statement further said that “It is on this basis that we are presenting Rt Honourable Dogara Yakubu who we believe the president knows his capability so well as one of the talents, brains, and embodiment of success, a person who loves the success of Nigeria so passionately.
Dogara is a politician who is loved by all religion and tribes, this has been proven true in his constituency whereby he united his constituents on the platform of coalition of tribes and Religion in the constituency for peace and security purposes.
“We strongly believe that with the likes of Yakubu Dogara on board the president will be sure of success, adding that we the Dogara Support group Nationwide believe that the president will keep to his words and move Nigeria to the greater high as we have seen in the past few weeks since he assumed office as the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
The President has made some fantastic policies that if implemented, he will definitely win the heart of Nigerians.
“We therefore believe that with the likes of Dogara Yakubu on board, implementations which has always been the problems of policy making will be a changed narrative.
The chairman of the Dogara’s support group, comrade, John Emmanuel Rica, prays to the Almighty God for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he pilot the affairs of this great Nation, that God should continue to give him more wisdom, good health and the grace to serve Nigeria.
