Gov. Ganduje Declares Tomorrow As Public Holiday
In a press release signed by his Director General, Media and Communications, Baba Halilu Dantiye, the governor congratulated the people of Kano and all the Muslim Umma for witnessing the New Year.
He also used the period to condole with the families of those who lost their lives in the two incidences in Saudi Arabia which led to the deaths of so many people and prayed for the quick recovery of those that sustained injuries.
He then appealed to the people to use the public holiday in offering prayers, to The Almighty Allah (SWT), for peace and prosperity in our dear state and country as a whole.
He then reassured the people that the state government will continue to work hard towards improving the living standard of the people especially by according education both Islamic and Western they priority they deserve.
