In a bid to support agricultural productivity and respond to the pressing needs of farmers in Fufore Local Government Area, Peace Samson Audu, the Chairperson, has distributed 700 bags of fertilizer to local farmers to help ensure a bumper harvest this season.
Speaking exclusively at her office, Samson reiterated her commitment to grassroots development, stating that her administration is guided by a clear vision and mission aimed at transforming the lives of the people.
Adding that the fertilizers were purchased from the Ministry of Agriculture at the cost of 25000 naira per bag and were distributed to farmers at no cost.
“For every assignment, there must be a vision and mission—and my office is no exception,” she said. “My goal is to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Fufore Local Government Area.”
She emphasized that her leadership is focused on bringing visible and lasting transformation to the LGA. “The vision I have is a big one—to transform the entire local government secretariat and deliver meaningful impact that leaves a lasting legacy.”
Dauda also highlighted the neglect faced by local government workers over the past decade, noting that her administration has taken steps to change that narrative.
“For the past 10 years, LG workers have not enjoyed any welfare from previous administrations, but my assumption of office has turned things around. This Sallah celebration, they will smile their way home.”
The fertilizer intervention is expected to significantly improve food production in the area and further solidify the chairperson’s growing reputation for people-focused governance.
It’s worth noting that Peace Samson Audu was officially sworn in as the Chairperson of Fufore Local Government Area on May 5, 2025, by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, following the passing of the former Chairman, Hon. Shuaibu Babas, on April 23, 2025
