A well-known business tycoon in Kano Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Balago based in Kano has dragged Jigawa Hisba command to court for taking his daughter Nusaiba Ibrahim Abubakar into marriage to one Auwalu Abdullahi based in Kaduna state.
The father who appeared in court said he was in court to seek the court to force Jigawa Hisba Command to bring back his daughter which was taken away by the command and married to one Auwalu Abdullahi from Kaduna state without his consent.
The defendant lawyer Barrister Ibrahim Shehu said they were in court to demand the court to assist the man because of his old age and his daughter who was taken away by force to be married to one man in Kaduna without his consent.
The lawyer demanded the Hisba Command should pay the father N3 Million as damages one for stealing his daughter and secondly for the accident they caused him while trying to attend the court sitting, a situation caused the damage of his vehicle.
The lawyer accused Hisba of taking his client’s daughter without the knowledge of her father and gave her into marriage to one Auwalu Abdullahi.
The case which is before the Jigawa State Higher Sharia court under Justice Jibrim Mustapha Birnin Kudu was adjourned to 4th January 2018 for hearing.
